Safer Shared Spaces provide hygiene control products and services that help stop the spread of infectious diseases and keep people safe in shared spaces.
Safer Shared Spaces will assess your premises and identify areas where there is high risk of infection transmission through shared surfaces and spaces. We look at the four vectors for transmission; air, contact, surface and premises and provide bespoke solutions to mitigate risks.
We also provide additional FM services (Safer Premises) to support our hygiene services and this includes most cleaning and building services.
Fill in our contact form and we will get straight back to you. Alternatively call us on 0203 875 9786Ā or email sales@safersharedspaces.comĀ
For smaller premises we can provide an online survey which includes a question and answer section and we would request you upload photos and videos of your shared areas.
For larger premises we will come and do an onsite visit to do an assessment.
Quotes will be provided within 5 working days of a site survey.
In layman terms, an antimicrobial coating is an application of a chemical agent on a surface that can stop the growth of disease-causing micro-organisms. Apart from increasing the surface’s durability, appearance, corrosion resistance, etc., these coatings also protect us from harmful disease-causing microbes.
Yes. In independant test results it has been proven to reduce the reproduction rate by 99.9%.
It can be used on almost any surface including fabric.
No, premises cannot be occupied during application.
Touch dry in 15-30 minutes depending on the surface being coated.Ā Your technician will confirm the fully cured time based on the surface it has been applied to.
Typically the life-time of the product. We suggest testing high touch point areas after 12 months.
Yes, we have a revolutionary surface sanitiser that actively gives up to 28 days protection. It creates a biofilm that stays on the surface and keeps working, unlike other detergents that evaporate and stop working.
We also have off-the-shelf and bespoke antimicrobial stickers for use on multiple surfaces, handles and buttons to reduce hand transmission.
Air Purification Units
Air purification units can help support your commercial premises to create an environment that is clean, comfortable, and hygienic now and into the future. With so many air purification systems on the market, it can be confusing to know which units are the most effective and that will best suit your requirements.Ā Ā
The SAGE Environment and Modelling Group (EMG) have recognised how important ventilation is to mitigate the risk of SARS CoV2 as aerosols carrying viruses can be carried more than 2m in the air and the threat of infection is increased in the spaces we share inside, particularly when people are talking.Ā Source
2 people staying in a Hong Kong quarantine hotel with no direct contact but staying across a hallway were infected with the Omicron variant. “Airborne transmission across the corridor is the most probable mode of transmission” it stated in a research paper.Ā SourceĀ
Air purification untils help to reduce the risk of infection from viruses and bacteria and clean the air of allergens and particles that can be harmful to us.
Ā
- Does it have any USPs to make it stand out from the others?
- Room size it can clean
- Air flow per hour (movement of air in room size in an hour)
- Clean air changes per hour (ACH)- air flow rate relative to room size / depends on rooms size and quantity of people in a room and environment but between 3 and 6 is recommended and up to 10 in places such as hospitals
- Efficiency of filter ā the highest filtration for viruses is Hepa13 and Hepa 14
- Speed of aerosol reduction ā SAGE suggest in their paper Ventilation Actions summary that if there are 6 air changes per hour, 95% of contaminants in the air would be removed in 30 minutes
- Response to poor air quality
- Display features to highlight air quality (humidity, temperature, CO2, dry, cold, low CO2 (people breathe CO2)
- Noise Level ā 68 dB or below considered safe https://www.commodious.co.uk/knowledge-bank/noise/measuring-levels and normal conversation is around 60bD
- Monitoring – supplying data for potential litigation purposes
- Environmental impact of the unitĀ
- What does it cost?
- What are the maintenance costs? The higher than fan speed, the more maintenance required

- Test certifications
Ā
We have done extensive research into finding the best and most effective air purification systems on the market for both commercial and home use.
Based on performance, cost, flexibility to our clients and impact on the environment we have chosen two leading suppliers that offer solutions that meet the requirements of both larger space and smaller spaces.
A good air purification system can clean the air of viruses, bacteria, allergens, and VOCās (volatile organic compounds).
Ā
VOCs are a large group of chemicals that are found in many products used to build and maintain most buildings including our homes, workplaces and venues of leisure. Ā Once in a building these chemicals are released into the air and inhaling them can cause difficulty with breathing; cause nausea and can damage the central nervous system and other organs.
Ā
Powerful air purification units will suck these airborne particles out of the air quickly. They will trap and stop them through a filter and then re-circulate the fresh air.
In the spaces we share it is essential that cleaning devices are capable of extremely large airflow volumes as the more air circulations per hour, the safer the room will be.

Aura Air
- Triple attack on bacteria and viruses (patented copper filter, UV light to kill and sterionizer for the air)
- AI responds to 7 air quality measures and responds automatically
- Monitors and records every 10 seconds

It has been tested by Innovative Bioanalysis Labs in California, showing that the device can eliminate airborne active SARS-CoV-2 by 87.37% in just 30 minutes and by 99.998% in 60 minutes (depends on size of room).
Yes it has AI sensors that respond to poor air quality. These are totally independent patented smart technology which requires zero user intervention.
Noise levels are 25 – 60 dB depending on the power setting.
Realtime and weekly data monitoring and cloud storage on a smart phone or tablet, and a rolling 12-month data capture and smart alert capability on the Dashboard App. Ā PM2.5, (air pollutant) PM10, (particle matter) VOC (organic chemicals) CO2 (Carbon Dioxide), CO (Carbon Monoxide), Humidity, Temperature (Sensor spec sheet attached). Safer Contact
Hand sanitiser should be used when you arenāt able to wash your hands or when you are on the go and arenāt near soap and water.Ā Ā By doing this you are helping to reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses which can be picked up on your hands when you touch a contaminated surface.
Alcohol sanitisers only last for a few minutes and then need to be reapplied.Ā The āactiveā sanitiser provides up to 8* hours of protection, by creating a biofilm that stays on your skin.Ā This biofilm keeps working unlike alcohol / ethanol types that evaporate and stop working immediately (the EU Regulations require 3 ml of alcohol sanitiser per application). PPE XtraSAN Hand Sanitiser only uses 0.5 ml per application, which is 6 x less product in order to gain up to 8* hours protection.Ā
(*The average adult sanitises their hands eight times a day ā with PPE XtraSAN you only need 1-2 applications per day which could create a potential saving of 2000 % volume.)
YesĀ there are bacterial and viral tests certificates whichĀ are available on request.
