safer Surfaces

"The surfaces we touch in our daily routine can be a vector of transmission"

- Dr. Gerald Larrouy-Maumus, Imperial College London

From handrails to chairs, buttons to door handles, it’s a reality of life that we touch surfaces hundreds of times a day.

Remarkably researchers at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, have found that SARS-CoV-2 can survive for up to 28 days on common surfaces.

This is why health authorities including the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say disinfecting frequently touched surfaces daily is key in preventing the spread of infectious bacteria and viruses, yeasts and moulds including Covid-19, MRSA, Influenza, Salmonella, the common cold and many more.

We provide a suite of multiple solutions including Contract Cleaning, Specialist Cleaning, Deep Cleaning and many more…

What is the answer when we want to protect people over and above standard cleaning?

Now there are new ways to reduce microbial growth between disinfection and cleaning cycles

Scientific research shows that the use of antimicrobial surface coatings can help increase hygiene in shared spaces by reducing bacterial attachment to a surface, thereby reducing the opportunity for transmission and infection (Institute for Molecular Science & Engineering).

Antimicrobial surface coatings are becoming increasingly important to help to keep communities safe, reducing microbial growth between disinfection and cleaning cycles. They can also help prevent viruses and bacteria from remaining active for long periods of time on high touch points in commercial premises which have shared spaces.

antimicrobial surface coating

An antimicrobial surface coating is a clear coating coating which is professionally applied by trained technicians and provides 24/7 round the clock protection against bacteria and viruses.

It creates a protective layer that stays on the surface to tackle infection and provide antimicrobial resistance. This is next generation approach to surface protection.

Independent tests confirmed that the reproduction rate was reduced by 99.8% for bacteria in 24 hrs and 99.8% in 8 hrs for TGEV Coronavirus.  Tested against SARS-CoV-2.

With it’s unique properties, it can prolong the life of surfaces and is resistant to chemical abrasion.

Why we use surface sanitisers

Our antimicrobial surface coating is designed to last for the life-time of the surface and 12 months on high traffic areas. It will help you reduce cleaning/disinfection cycles, making it kinder to the environment and highly cost effective in the long term.  Scientific research shows that the use of antimicrobial surface coatings can help increase hygiene in shared spaces by reducing bacterial attachment to a surface, thereby reducing the opportunity for transmission and infection (source: Institute for Molecular Science & Engineering).  An antimicrobial surface coating provides a long-term permanent self-disinfecting seal on surfaces that reduces the need for additional cleaning regimes.

On high traffic areas we suggest testing the surface to ensure the coating is still active after 12 months.  Non-high traffic areas can last for the lifetime of the surface.

We have a suit of products to address surface contact, including an antimicrobial surface spray sanitiser which lasts up to 28 days* and protective antimicrobial coverings (stickers / wraps and handle covers) that can be used on multiple surfaces including high traffic areas such as door handles and lift or exit buttons.

Ordorbac Tec4 Surface Cleaner

Odorbac is an antiviral antibacterial cleaner that assists the disinfection process and provides additional protection from bacteria and viruses.

This powerful, non-hazardous multi-functional cleaner, disinfectant, odour eliminator and antibacterial stain remover can be used on multiple surfaces.

This single product solution helps to offset the environmental effects of increased disinfection and a closed loop system is in place to support its environmental and sustainable journey.

Odorbac is not hazardous in any form. It contains hydrogen peroxide that kills 99.9% of coronavirus.
